How the Dingo Found Maggie…
Dancing Dingo was created in Austin, Texas, by Kathy Goodwin. Kathy had been in the engineering field for over 20 years, and one day began to notice that her life seemed to be passing by at a greater rate of speed than in previous days. Kathy was secretly burning to discover what in life would make her feel truly happy and fulfilled; what was her passion?
While searching for answers one beautifully starlit Texas night, Kathy was momentarily distracted by Margaret, the Dancing Dingo dog. Margaret happens to be a dog who would rather hop around on her hind legs checking out the world above the floor, than walking on all fours. Looking into Margaret's happy and smiling eyes, Kathy realized her answer: happiness lies in doing what feeds your soul, like Margaret's dog dancing. For Kathy, happiness would be found in having a company that encourages women to treat themselves well and have fun with products that are both natural and good for you!
Today that's what Dancing Dingo is all about: treating yourself well, both physically and mentally, with natural and good-for-you products. Of course Kathy could never forget her best friend Margaret, and the four other dogs in the Dancing Dingo Pack; Jack, Daisy, Johnny and April. Kathy created Dancing Dingo Dog De-funkifier™ products just for them! With the name “Dancing Dingo”, Kathy often wondered if anyone from Down Under would have an interest in her products and philosophy. Those thoughts turned to reality when Bobbi Price, a life coach from Sydney, Australia made contact with her in November 2007. Bobbi had a life coaching website but had a wish to create a business herself that not only catered for the mind, but for the body and spirit as well. Bobbi saw the Dingo name, contacted Kathy, and that saw the beginning of Maggie Blue.
After some local market research in Australia, Kathy & Bobbi saw that it was necessary for Australia to have it’s own product name and feel. Although Australians and Americans are great friends and allies, there are of course differences that make each country truly unique, their own. For this reason, the name Maggie Blue was formed, in honour of Margaret, the ‘Dancing Dingo’ and the fact that she is part Blue Heeler.
And now… Maggie Blue is proud to be part of the eco friendly community in Australia. Research has shown that there is a real need for all natural dog products in the Australian market.
